The Ten Commandments. Encounters 1998-2021 : Eve Rousseau-Cyr meets Sophie Corriveau

Fifth sequence of a satellite project in collaboration with Espace Perreault Transmission chorégraphiques.

To encourage reflection on transmission and memory, and to honour the participation of dancers in the creative process, The Ten Commandments. Encounters 1998-2021 reunites the original and current dancers, who will talk about the work, its meaning and its score.

Shame. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. : Eve Rousseau-Cyr meets Sophie Corriveau.

Vulnerability, writing the role, the interplay between reality and fiction, and the interest of the constraint the commandment imposed while offering a great deal of space for freedom were addressed. In the second part of the encounter, the conversation surprisingly shifts to the issue of maternity: it is a captivating discussion that touches the heart and body of dancers, and the relationship to oneself and the practice.
