SENS: MEETING AUDIENCE AS A FERTILE GROUND FOR NEW TERRITORIES OF CO-CREATION AND INNOVATION.
Is contemporary dance essential?
Do our projects resonate with public concerns and the fundamental issues that occupy today’s society?
How can we better deal with the different realities of contemporary dance audiences?
How to question the public/stage relationship?
This creation, nourished by a series of cultural mediation residencies across Quebec and France, explores the place of audiences both in the creative process and in the «presentation system» of the work.
At the beginning of the show, the five performers (including the choreographer Harold Rhéaume, as performer) will welcome on stage the audiences in order to dive into the heart of the creative matrix, traveling together on a journey appealing to the senses, in proximity to the performers.
With SENS, Le fils d’Adrien danse wishes to position himself on the place occupied by the arts and more specifically dance in our society and on the impacts, she can have on the audiences.
The piece will be ready to be presented from Fall 2025 in a 360-degree configuration on the stage with the public and the five interpreter
