EXILE
Choregraphy : Harold Rhéaume with the complicity of the interpreters
Premiere : septembre 2019
Taking place on the floating stage that is Île Saint-Hyacinthe, EXILE invites the public in an odyssey towards elsewhere. Isolated on this emerged land, twelve urban dwellers flee in a foreign location to invent their own world. Thanks to this exile, will they succeed in abandoning themselves and dreaming freely? On this island prone to reconciliation between themselves, but also with nature, they confront their aspirations and desires of a still unknown ecosystem.
This choreographic performance was presented during the Festival des Arts de la Rue de Québec, an outdoor event gathering 9 artistic disciplines on site of Domaine Maizerets, in Quebec. Presented by Société du Domaine Maizerets, Canadian Heritage, and Ville de Québec.
