CLASH !
Choregraphy : Harold Rhéaume
Audience: Ages 14 and up
Length: 60 minutes
Putting SHOW back in Dance
In CLASH !, self-contained scenes roll by as in a parade, by turns poignant, astounding and uproarious. Outlandish, comical and heartwarming characters — including a zany “little yellow riding hood”, a clumsy hockey player, two mischievous unidentified creatures and a wannabe Fred Astaire — show their true colours as they thrive for position in a world where the quest for fame is the only constant and the law of the jungle the only law.
Pop style, compelling visuals, lively and varied music: Le fils d’Adrien danse delivers the goods with CLASH !. 60 minutes of sheer pleasure, an emotional barrage that will shake up even the most blasé spectators.
To this day, CLASH ! is Le fils d’Adrien’s biggest success, with 43 performances in 24 theatres since it opened as a crowd favourite at the World Festival of the Arts for Young Audiences (Montreal) in 2005. Over the course of relentless touring CLASH ! has been a hit wherever it played: in large cities and small towns alike reactions range from laughter to stunned silence. CLASH ! leaves no one indifferent.
The show sold out Quebec City, Longueuil and Paspébiac, and garnered attention at the 2007 APAP conference in New York. In March, 2008 CLASH ! played, again to sold-out houses, at the LEAP Festival of Contemporary Dance in Liverpool, England.
