Second sequence of a satellite project in collaboration with Espace Perreault Choreographic transmission.
To encourage reflection on transmission and memory, and to honour the participation of dancers in the creative process, The Ten Commandments. Encounters 1998-2021 reunites the original and current dancers, who will talk about the work, its meaning and its score.
Interdependence. Thou shalt have no other gods before me : Miranda Chan meets Lucie Boissinot. Over the course of their conversation — intercut with a stunning selection of archival images — the trio analyse the work and its fluctuations between majesty and fragility, flight and fall. The interview is filled with insights, grace, shared understanding and tenderness as the artists take a close look at the process of creating a work and the unique contribution of the dancers.
