Third sequence of a satellite project in collaboration with Espace Perreault Choreographic transmission.
To encourage reflection on transmission and memory, and to honour the participation of dancers in the creative process, The Ten Commandments. Encounters 1998-2021 reunites the original and current dancers, who will talk about the work, its meaning and its score.
Distorsion. Thou shalt not bear false witness : Josiane Bernier meets Natalie Plante.
During the meeting, Harold discusses in detail the creative process behind the work—both in 1998, when he was starting out as a choreographer, and in 2020, during this time marked by COVID-19 with the necessary physical distancing involved. He describes the magnificent music composed in 2020 by Josué Beaucage — a larger-than-life sound that will guide the creation of the new solo for Josiane, who was completely blown away and inspired by the musician’s compositions.
